WPA Science Bowl Volunteer Information
Thank you for your interest in being a WPA Science Bowl Volunteer!
- Moderator/Timer - Read the questions and monitor the time for students to answer the questions. *Moderator/Timer must wait for the Question Judge to complete the Chat Box scoring before proceeding to the next toss-up question
- Question Judge/Chat Box Scorer - Ensure the questions are being read correctly and serve as the chat scorekeeper by entering scores on to the chat box in Zoom.
- Recognizer/Official Scorer - Recognizes the student who raises their hand to answer and serve as the official scorekeeper by entering scores on official forms.

Competition Dates
High School Science Bowl: Saturday, February 25, 2023
Middle School Science Bowl: Saturday, March 4, 2023
Location
The 2023 Western Pennsylvania Regional School Science Bowl will be a VIRTUAL event. The competition will be online using Zoom meeting. Some volunteer positions will be required to have a web camera and microphone to participate.
